PiriPiri AI vs ParakeetAI

PiriPiri AI vs ParakeetAI

Two real-time call assistants with non-subscription options — one at $25 an hour, one at about $2.50.

ParakeetAI is a real-time call assistant with coding support, a privacy mode, and desktop, browser and mobile access. It is one of the few rivals that, like PiriPiri AI, lets you avoid a subscription: alongside weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime plans it sells credits, and one credit covers a one-hour call session.

Its pricing page now publishes the amounts. A single credit is $25; three are $39, and the largest pack is 15 credits for $117. PiriPiri AI normalizes to about $2.50 for an hour-long interview, charged once per session, with 3 free sessions and no card required.

The bottom line

ParakeetAI offers more ways in — browser, mobile and a lifetime plan. On the price of one interview, it is $25 for a single credit or $7.80 an hour if you buy 15 at once; PiriPiri AI is about $2.50 on its smallest pack.

What ParakeetAI actually costs

ParakeetAI’s pricing page lists two ways to pay. Credits, where one credit is a one-hour call session (half a credit covers 30 minutes): 1 credit for $25, 3 for $39, 6 plus 2 free for $78, and 9 plus 6 free for $117. And plans: $52 a week, $99.90 a month, $399.90 a year, or $599.90 for lifetime access.

Buyers in India see the same ladder in rupees — ₹2,360 for one credit, ₹4,980 a week, ₹9,470 a month, ₹37,900 a year — and can pay by UPI or PhonePe as well as card and PayPal.

Earlier versions of this page said ParakeetAI did not publish its prices, because the public text we could read at the time did not show them. They are public now, so the comparison uses them.

Per hour: $7.80 to $25, against about $2.50

Credits are the fair thing to compare, because they are ParakeetAI’s pay-as-you-go option. The per-hour price depends on how many you buy: $25 for a single credit, $13 each in the three-pack, and $7.80 each in the 15-credit pack — which means spending $117 up front to get the lowest rate.

PiriPiri AI’s entry pack works out to about $2.50 an hour-long interview, and $1.45 on its largest pack. So a single interview costs less here than ParakeetAI’s best bulk rate, without the bulk purchase.

Two ways to avoid a recurring subscription

ParakeetAI’s credits and PiriPiri AI’s packs both let occasional users avoid a monthly plan, which puts both products apart from most of this category. If you interview rarely, either is a better shape than a subscription.

PiriPiri AI charges you for a session when you start one, and nothing in between. A single interview is one session, unused sessions do not expire, and there is nothing recurring to forget to cancel.

Browser and mobile access versus a native overlay

ParakeetAI publishes browser and mobile-web access alongside its desktop app. That is genuinely useful if you want to glance at answers on a second device, or cannot install software on the machine you interview from.

PiriPiri AI is a desktop app only, on macOS and Windows. The reason is the overlay: it is a native window that the operating system itself excludes from screen capture, so it stays off a shared screen whether you share a tab, a window or the whole desktop. A web page cannot ask the operating system for that. It also captures your microphone and the call audio as two separate streams and cancels the echo between them, so the interviewer’s voice coming out of your speakers is not transcribed as your own words.

What is the same

Both vendors market real-time answers during calls and screen-share-safe behavior. Those are vendor claims, not a controlled head-to-head result.

With PiriPiri AI you can see the price, start with 3 free sessions, and test your exact meeting setup before paying. ParakeetAI advertises its own 10-minute free session.
